1. What is MinervA+..?

MinervA+ is working to bring together the best available content across many subjects and distribute it in an engaging and useful way to learners worldwide.

2. How many videos are available on MinervA+..?

As of this writing, there are over fifteen hundred videos from MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, Harvard, Princeton, and Yale. We are adding more every day. Some of these are grouped into courses, which each contain anywhere from 4 to 50 lectures.

3. Can I get credit for these courses..?

No - but feel free to learn as much as you'd like.

4. Can I download copies of lectures..?

Yes, when the "Download" option appears you can download a Quick Time version of the lecture. Just right click on the "Download" link and select "Save Target As..." or the equivalent for your browser.

5. Can I skip ahead during lectures..?

You can skip ahead in lectures using the progress bar at the bottom of the video. However, right now, you need to wait for the video to load before you can do this. (Watch the dark grey bar). We're working on improving this for future releases.

6. How do grades work..?

Lectures start out with a grade of B. From there the grade is an average of the grades that our users have given it. Course grades are based on the grades given to the lectures in that course. Highly rated content will show up first in browse results and in the Top Rated sections in our homepage. The more people provide feedback, the better the ratings will get.

7. Can I save lectures that look interesting in order to return to them later..?

Yes - you can click on the "Add to Favorites" button while you are watching a lecture. This will save the lecture to your profile. You can also add videos to your favorites by clicking the plus signs that occasionally appear next to video thumbnails on the site. Note - you will need to register and log-in in order to access this feature.

8. Is there a reason to create a profile on the site..?

Yes - today this enables you to save videos to your Favorites. While we are working to keep the site as open as possible, we are also likely to add more advanced features in the future that will depend on our users being logged in.

9. How do I register..?

Check out the link in the upper right corner of the site. Right beside the loging link, where you can log-in and log-out whenever you are on the site.

10. A video is not playing the way I would expect it to - what should I do..?

Please submit it using thefeedbackbuttom in the bottom right corner. If possible, please submit feedback on the page where you ran into the problem or copy the web address of the video into your message. This way we'll know exactly where to go.

11. I am unable to view any of the videos on MinervA+ - why is that..?

Unfortunately, our videos are not available in certain areas due to reasons beyond our control; if you are unable to view any or most of our videos, and your software is up to date, it may be due to your location. If you suspect there may be another cause, feel free to contact us using the contact button.

12. I remember seeing a certain lecture on the site, but I cannot find it now. Why is that..?

We rarely remove lectures or courses from the site, but occasionally we need to do so due to copyright considerations or special requests from the institutions producing the content. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes when it does happen.
